Authorities Schedule News Conference To Update Developments In Brittanee Drexel Case

ncmissingpersons.org

The FBI has scheduled a news conference for next week in South Carolina to talk about the latest developments in the case of  Brittanee  Drexel, the Chili teen who has been missing for seven years.

A press release from the FBI doesn’t give any hints on what those developments might be. It just says that various federal and local authorities will hold a news conference Wednesday afternoon in McLellanville, South Carolina, not far from Charleston.

The 17 year old Drexel went missing during a spring break trip to Myrtle Beach in April of  2009.

She had gone there without her parents’ permission. They are expected to be at next week’s news conference.

Drexel was last seen on a security camera video leaving a hotel in Myrtle Beach.

There have been vigils held every year since she disappeared; often they were held both in the Rochester area and in Myrtle Beach.
