TWC News

Rochester Police say that they arrested around 10 people after fights broke out early Monday evening at Ontario Beach Park in Charlotte.

The park was temporarily closed for safety reasons, with traffic restricted and additional officers brought in to help move traffic and pedestrians out of the area.  RPD was assisted by officers from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Greece and Irondequoit.

The arrests were mainly for fighting and disorderly conduct. Two of those arrested were juveniles under the age of 16.

There was no report of any injuries. Traffic was reopened after about an hour and a half.
