Sandy Frankel Officially Kicks Off Campaign for MC Executive

Former Brighton Town Supervisor Sandy Frankel began her launch party with a few words in honor of the approaching Memorial Day.

"The men and women who protect our freedoms, our liberties, our democratic way of life, we owe them an enormous debt of gratitude."

This is not Frankel's first launch. After her failed campaign in 2011 against Maggie Brooks, Frankel is confident she knows what it takes to win the electorate this time around.

"I'm on Facebook, I'm on Twitter, I use Instagram occasionally, I'm even learning Tumblr."

Frankel says she's running a grassroots campaign that she hopes will connect with the residents of Monroe County, and part of that involves being active online. The launch of her campaign coincides with the launch of a new website: SandyFrankel2015.com.

The county executive candidate has staked out space for herself in the digital world, across multiple social networks, but that does not mean she intends to ignore her other voters. Frankel says she plans to make a concerted effort to get out to talk to voters of all ages about her vision for the office.

"It is time for a new direction, a path to a new day and a bright future for Monroe County."

Frankel will run as a Democrat against Republican Candidate Cheryl Dinolfo.
