New York state’s COVID-19 infection rate continues to decline. On Sunday, Governor Andrew Cuomo said that the statewide 7-day average COVID-19 positivity rate dropped to 0.71% on Saturday, which is a new record low.
The COVID-19 positivity rate for the Finger Lakes Region was at 1.68%. That rate also has been declining steadily, but is still higher than any other region in the state.
Monroe County on Sunday reported 85 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the last update. The 7-day rolling average of new cases is 82 new cases per day.
In terms of COVID-19 vaccinations, the percentage of New Yorkers with at least one vaccine dose is 53.5%.
The percentage of New Yorkers with the completed vaccine series is 45.6%.
For the Finger Lakes region, the percentage of residents with at least one dose of the vaccine is 53.9%. The percent of residents with the completed series is 47.2%.
