New numbers released Saturday on COVID-19 infections in New York state by Governor Andrew Cuomo show that the 7-day average positivity rate statewide is .73%. He says that is the lowest rate since the COVID-19 crisis began.
The positivity rate in the Finger Lakes region dropped again, to 1.77%. But that is still the highest of any region in the state.
In the data released on Saturday by the Monroe County Dept. of Public Health, there were 73 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the last update. The 7-day rolling average of new cases is 84 new cases per day.
In terms of vaccinations, the percentage of New Yorkers with at least one vaccine dose is 53.3%.
The percentage with the completed vaccine series is 45.3%.
In the Finger Lakes Region, the percentage of resident who have had at least one vaccine dose is 53.7%.
The percentage of residents with the completed series is 47%.
