Connections

Coming up on Connections: Thursday, November 1

First hour: What have we learned since Kristallnacht?

Second hour: Assemblyman Mark Johns and challenger Andrew Gilchrist

Next week marks 80 years since Kristallnacht -- the Night of Broken Glass -- which is commonly considered the forerunner to the Holocaust. What have we learned since then? We’re joined by two survivors of the Holocaust who share their remarkable stories, and how they think the lessons of history can apply to the challenges faced by refugees today. In studio:

  • Werner Schenk, Holocaust survivor
  • Warren Heilbronner, Holocaust survivor
  • Bonnie Abrams, director of the Center for Holocaust Awareness and Information at the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester

Then in our second hour, we continue our series of interviews with candidates for political offices. You'll hear from Assemblyman Mark Johns and his opponent, Andrew Gilchrist, who are running in the 135th Assembly District.
