Unisys, the global information technology company, will be closing a facility in Henrietta affecting just under 200 people.
The company says they are closing a client service center on Kenneth Drive by the end of this year. Unisys says it’s part of an ongoing initiative to streamline operations by consolidating work into a smaller number of facilities while maintaining uninterrupted quality of service to its clients.
The work in Henrietta will be transitioned to a Unisys facility in Augusta, Georgia. The company says those affected can apply for any open position within Unisys for which they are qualified, and outplacement services will be provided as well.
Unisys says the client service center provides support for managed I-T services.
The news comes on the heels of the recent announcement that Verizon will be closing a call center in Henrietta, impacting about 600 people.
