Red Wings postpone home opener on Sunday

Make it three days in a row;  the Rochester Red Wings say that the home opener has been postponed again.

The game scheduled for 1:05 p.m. on Sunday with the the Buffalo Bisons has been postponed due to snow and cold. (temperatures were in the 30s on Sunday with snow showers)

This season marks the first time the Red Wings have postponed the first three home games since 1983.

The team says that three of this weekend's games will need to be made up as doubleheaders later on this season. Those dates are to be determined.

Tickets to Sunday's game may be exchanged for any remaining home date this season. All exchanges must be made in person at the Ticket Office.

Opening Day, take four, will be Monday against the Syracuse Chiefs.

Game time for both Monday and Tuesday has been moved up to 5:35 p.m. from the originally scheduled game time of 6:35 p.m. Gates will open both days at 4:30 p.m.

Rochester has now been postponed at home three times this season, as many as all of 2017.
