The Canandaigua VA has named an interim medical director to replace Craig Howard, who recently retired.
He is Michael Swartz, who will also continue his current role as the Medical Center Director at the Bath VAMC.
Before taking the job at the Bath VA in 2012, Swartz was the associate medical director of the Syracuse VA since 2004.
Craig Howard worked for the VA for 37 years. He was director in Canandaigua since 2007.
