According to TWC News, friends who were with the man said he was going for a swim, but it was too shallow.

A scuba team from the Sheriff’s Department went to the scene.  The College at Brockport is holding counseling at the school from Noon to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Hazen Center for Integrated Care.
