The Ginna nuclear power plant in Wayne County is back online. The plant stopped producing electricity last Wednesday when a larger generator shut down.
It had to do with a relay which was not set correctly, and it caused the plant to shut down during a routing test. Officials with Ginna and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission say there was no danger to the public.
While the plant was shut down, repairs were made, and completed on Sunday. Ginna was back up to 100 percent power as of early Monday morning.
