UR Medicine has started doing surgery at its new Ambulatory Surgical Center at Strong West. That’s the site of the former Lakeside Hospital in Brockport which was recently renovated.
Bryan O’Donovan is administrator of operations there. He says the new facility will be doing outpatient surgery in areas such as orthopedics, ophthalmology and urology.
He says it’s possible they will eventually expand the types of outpatient treatment done at the Brockport facility.
“We’re still assessing the needs of Brockport and surrounding community and the more data we get and the more feedback from the community and local providers has been very helpful.”
The ambulatory surgery center has 15 beds, three operating rooms and two procedure rooms.
