The Central Library of Rochester and the Friends & Foundation of the public library are making the official opening Monday of "ImagineYOU" It's described as an innovative, 21st century digital learning space for teens.
'Teen Central,' as it's called, is located on the lower level of the Bausch+Lomb library building on South Avenue. ImagineYOU was created to connect young adults, books, media and institutions throughout the city in one space designed to inspire collaboration and creativity.
Middle and High School student involved with ImagineYOU can access computers and a variety of media creation tools and software to engage in projects that promote creativity and critical thinking.
The project was funded with the help of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
