Renee Fleming To Perform For A Royal Couple

Opera singer Renee Fleming, who grew up in Churchville, will get to perform for visiting British Royals William and Kate on Tuesday night.

The soprano is scheduled to perform at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art at a scholarship fundraiser for the University of St. Andrews. That is the Scottish university where Kate and William met.

Fleming was recommended for the performance by Sting, who was originally scheduled to perform but had to drop out due to his Broadway commitments.

Fleming is a graduate of Churchville-Chili High School and the Eastman School of Music.
