Judge races see an upset in Monroe County

The elections in Monroe County saw an upset for County Court Judge.

Democrats Michael Dollinger and Karen Bailey Turner won the two open positions, while incumbent Republican John DeMarco was defeated by a narrow margin. Republican Kyle Steinebach also lost his bid for a county court seat.

Bailey Turner is the first black candidate to become a Monroe County Court Judge.

In the 7th Judicial District, which includes Monroe and several other counties, the Republican candidates won, including incumbent Matthew Rosenbaum and Kevin Nasca.
