Deputies investigate workplace fatality in Livonia

TWC News

Livingston County deputies are investigated a work-related death in the Town of Livonia that happened on Wednesday morning.

Authorities say it occurred at Crop Productions Services on Big Tree Road when three employees were unloading fertilizer from a rail car.

At some point, the product became stuck, and in an attempt to clear the jam, one worker went to the top of the rail car and became trapped.

Firefighters, deputies and EMS personnel responded, but the employee was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the victim has not been released yet.
