NYS A-G Says 14 People In Rochester Indicted On Cocaine Trafficking Charges

DEA.gov

State and local officials are announcing that 14 people have been indicted on charges that they distributed cocaine throughout the City of Rochester and in other parts of New York State.

The multi-agency investigation was code-named Operation Thruway, and NYS Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says it also involved State Police, Rochester Police and the Attorney General's Organized Crime Task Force.

The investigation led to the seizure of cocaine from a safe located at a Rochester residence. The indictment alleges that cocaine was being sold as part of a drug pipeline between Monroe, Erie and Niagara Counties transported via the NYS Thruway system.

A 62-count indictment charges 14 people on various drug sale and possession charges.
