Henrietta Furniture Store Fined for Deceptive Advertising

catalogue.findyourfurniture.com

A Henrietta furniture store has paid $10,000 in civil penalties to the state for making false claims in advertisements and deceiving the public.

HQ Home was cited by the State Attorney General's office for holding a "going out of business" sale" in January while continuing to receive new furniture shipments.  The AG's office says that is a violation of state law.

The store also paid $500 to the Town of Henrietta for failing to get an application to conduct the sale.

As part of the agreement, the store owner said they would end the sale and the deceptive advertising.
