Report Of Bullet Hitting Truck On 390

Monroe County deputies are  investigating a report from a trucker who thinks his windshield was hit by a bullet this morning on 390 near Buffalo Road.

Deputies say the driver of the tractor trailer was southbound on 390 at about 9:30 a.m. on Thursday  and said he heard a noise, and then saw a hole in his windshield. The windshield later shattered.

The truck stopped on the shoulder of the highway, just south of Buffalo Road.  There were no injuries.

Deputies have not confirmed that a bullet hit the truck. Police closed both north and southbound lanes of 390 between Chili Avenue and I-490 to investigate.  They expected the road to reopen before rush hour.

This was not too far from a similar incident reported in Greece on 390 last week, but that investigation was closed after not getting any more evidence.
