Brighton implements parking restrictions near Corbett's Glen to promote social distancing

Town of Brighton

The Town of Brighton is taking steps to support social distancing by implementing some changes at Corbett’s Glen.

Supervisor Bill Moehle has issued an emergency order closing the parking lot at the Corbett’s Glen town park and also prohibiting parking along certain streets near the park. Those streets including Avon Drive, Dale Road, Forest Hills Road, Glen Road and Inwood Drive.

The emergency order also prohibits garage sales in the town during the State of Emergency that Brighton began on March 16.

Town officials note that Corbett’s Glen has seen a big increase in usage recently and has narrow trails. They say the parking restrictions will help decrease user density and promote social density.

Officials say similar changes are not needed at other town parks in Brighton.
