The Rochester City School District’s Board of Education has named the four finalists for the next superintendent of schools.

The finalists are Terry Dade, Devon Horton, Sito Narcisse and George Eric Thomas.

Board of Education President Van White says the finalists were chosen from a pool of 31 applicants and interim superintendent Dan Lowengard and Distinguished Educator Jamie Aquino participated in the process. He said that this is the first time a current superintendent has taken part in the process.

Parents, students, employees and community members can meet the candidates during forums on May 4 and 5.

Two candidates will appear at each of the forums, which will be held at 12:30 p.m. both days at the Freddie Thomas Learning Center, 625 Scio St.

The forums will also be livestreamed on the district's website.
