The Rochester-based Hickey Freeman clothing factory will be making clothing for Dillard's Department Stores, a national chain. That according to Senator Charles Schumer who says Dillard's will be manufacturing its private label signature clothing lines of suits and sport jackets at Hickey Freeman.

He says in addition to the recently announced contract to do work on the Polo Ralph Lauren "Blue Label" clothing line, that has the potential to create up to 50 new jobs in Rochester over the next three years.

Dillard's previously made its "Daniel Cremieux Signature Collection" line of suits in Italy, but is now moving production back to the U.S.

Hickey Freeeman employs more than 400 people in Rochester.
