New numbers on COVID-19 in New York state shows the state’s seven-day average positivity rate now stands at 1.13%. That is the lowest rate since Oct. 14, and represents 41 straight days of decline.
The Finger Lakes region has a seven-day average positivity rate of 2.72%, which is the highest of any region in the state.
In data released on Sunday, Monroe County reported 140 new cases of COVID-19. The seven-day rolling average of new cases is 172 new cases per day.
In terms of vaccinations, Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Sunday said that 49.8% of all New Yorkers have had at least one vaccine dose; 41.6% of state residents have had the completed series.
In the Finger Lakes region, 50.44% of the population has had at least one vaccine does and 44% have the completed series.
