Connections: Rochester City Ballet Presents...David Bowie

When you think "David Bowie," you probably immediately think "ballet." No? Well, the Rochester City Ballet is working to bring new people to their performances, and they're not afraid to take risks. David Bowie, U2, and eventually, Pink Floyd and the Beatles.

The company's upcoming"Ballet on the Edge" performances will include one of the first new works set to Bowie's music since his death in January. We talk about bringing new audiences to artistic institutions like the ballet, and how Bowie's work, in particular, will be represented. Our guests:

Evan Dawson is the host of "Connections with Evan Dawson." He joined WXXI in January 2014 after working at 13WHAM-TV, where he served as morning news anchor. He was hired as a reporter for 13WHAM-TV in 2003 before being promoted to anchor in 2007.
