Watkins Glen Track Gets Times Square Exposure

theglen.com

An upcoming race at Watkins Glen is getting some big-city publicity. The upcoming Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen race is being advertised on digital billboards in Times Square in NYC.

The billboards show the likeness of the June 25-28 event at the historic road course in the Finger Lakes region.

“Watkins Glen International belongs in a place like Times Square,” said WGI President Michael Printup. “The opportunity to be exposed to the masses that travel through that area each and every day is phenomenal. New York City is a great market and we hope that this campaign brings some fans to our region for the Six Hours.”

According to Superior Digital Displays, over one million potential viewers move through Times Square, the world’s top advertising market, in a single day. Another board featuring The Glen is viewed by 70,000 subway travelers as they enter and exit the station nearest to Time Square in a 24-hour period.
