The question of "Who will be Andrew Cuomo's running mate" is finally answered. Former Congresswoman Kathy Hochul was named Cuomo's running mate in his re-election bid at the New York State Democratic Convention Wednesday afternoon.
Hochul serves as vice president of government relations for Buffalo-based M&T Bank, but filled the 26th Congressional District seat vacated by the resignation of Chris Lee in 2011. After winning four-way special eleciton she lost a close race in 2012 to former Erie County Executive Chris Collins.
