Aquinas Institute in Rochester has named a new president. Anthony Cook has been named the third president in the 118-year history of that Catholic high school.

Cook is a 1999 graduate of Aquinas and went back to his alma mater last September to be executive director of alumni relations and development.  Previously, Cook served as superintendent of schools for the Diocese of Rochester, principal of Seton Catholic School in Brighton as well as middle school dean of students and teacher at Aquinas.

Cook replaces Michael Daley who announced last year he would be retiring after serving as the school’s president for 17 years.
