More details released about crash that killed 4 people including 3 Dansville HS students

State Police have identified the teens who died in an accident that killed four people in Allegany County early Saturday morning, including three students from Dansville High School.

Troopers have identified the victims as: the driver, 16 year old Rebecca Earner of Dansville, and passengers, 16 year old Ambra Eddleton, 14 year old Justin Carpenter and 14 year old Kyrstin Wolfanger, all of Dansville. They were all pronounced dead at the scene.

The person who survived the crash is 16 year old Kelsi Bird of Dansville, who was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with multiple non-life threatening injuries. Police say she was the only person wearing a seat belt.

Troopers say at about 4:30 on Saturday morning, the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling east on County Route 13c and failed to stop at a stop sign at the T-intersection of County Route 13C and County Route 13. The SUV hit a tree and came to rest in an embankment.

District officials say that school leaders and counselors will be on hand Sunday, Monday and Tuesday to support students, families and staff. There's more information at the Dansville Central School District website.
