Funeral Services Scheduled For Bill Nojay

Funeral services have been set for Assemblyman Bill Nojay.

The well known Republican who represented the 133rd Assembly District died of an apparent suicide in Rochester's Riverside Cemetery last Friday.

Calling hours at the Anthony Chapels funeral home will be held Wednesday 5 to 7 p.m., and Thursday, Noon to 2 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the chapel at 2305 Monroe Avenue.

The funeral service will be held Friday at Noon at Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word, 597 East Avenue in Rochester. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Nojay's obituary says that in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Al Sigl Center.

Before retiring in March 2025, Randy Gorbman was WXXI's director of news and public affairs and managed the day-to-day operations of WXXI News on radio, television, and online.
