If you're an RG&E customer you may see something you haven't seen before. A meter reader coming to your house on a Sunday.
Utility spokesman Dan Hucko says because of the rough winter, the meter readers have not been able to read meters as often as the company usually does, so they will soon be reading meters on Sundays as well.
"The brutal winter has really kind of put us back a little bit on our scheduling. It's been very tough for our meter readers to get out there, get to the meters and read them, so we're a little bit behind, and we want to expand our schedule now"
The new meter-reading schedule starts on Sunday in Webster and Penfield and will eventually roll out to all R G and E customers.
The addition of Sundays to the meter reading will continue until at least the end of the year.
