A new online study says that Rochester is home to a lot of smart people.
The survey was taken by creditdonkey.com, which is a credit card comparison and financial education website.
The company used data from the U.S. Census Bureau to come up with a list of metropolitan areas with a high level of intelligent residents, and Rochester ranked 8th among the list of those top 10 regions.
Among the criteria used by Credit Donkey, the number of people with college degrees, and we have just over 32 percent of the population with a bachelor’s degree or higher.
The site also looks at factors such as library card holders and those who are part of Mensa, an organization for people with High IQ’s.
San Jose topped the list followed by Boston and San Diego.
