Officials from Bausch+Lomb, and its parent company Valeant Pharmaceuticals will gather Monday morning at the plant on North Goodman Street to hold a ceremony marking the new B+L Ultra contact lens manufacturing lines.
They are also unveiling a solar array assembly which will eventually generate power for the facility and help to reduce the Rochester plant’s carbon footprint by 800 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
Senator Charles Schumer will also be there, and he says the additional contact lens manufacturing line is expected to create 120 jobs and help retain 1,000 others.
