So you say you want a constitutional convention, well...you know. Or, actually, you probably don't know. Most people don't know what a constitutional convention really is because the last time New York State held one was 1967. On Monday night, the Interfaith Alliance of Rochester is partnering with the League of Women Voters to host a public forum. It's titled, "Nuts Bolts and Monkey Wrenches of a NYS Constitutional Convention." The forum's speakers join us to answer what this process is for, and what it could be used to accomplish when the option comes back around in 2017. In studio:
- Becky Elwell, The Interfaith Alliance of Rochester
- Peter J. Galie, emeritus professor of political science, Canisius College
- Brian Kolb, assemblyman of the 131st District and the Assembly minority leader
- Judy Weinstein, League of Women Voters
