Wilmorite changes hours as part of coronavirus recommendations

There are changes in hours for the Rochester area shopping malls due to recommendations from New York state in the effort to limit exposure to the coronavirus.

Wilmorite, the company that owns and operates Eastview Mall, the Mall at Greece Ridge, Marketplace and Pittsford Plaza, says that the new hours are:

Monday – Saturday 11:00am – 7:00pm
Sunday Noon – 6:00pm

Wilmorite issued a statement saying that they understand that these retailers have a large local employee base and are trying to remain viable. As a landlord, the company says it must provide access to the retailers that choose to remain open.

Wilmorite says that, “The health and wellness of our employees and visitors is our top priority so we are doing what we can including enhanced cleaning, closing the carousels and children’s play areas, and reducing mall operating hours, effective immediately. This is in accordance with New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo’s recommendation.”

Wilmorite notes that there are retailers that have opted to suspend operations, so they encourage visitors to call ahead.

Governor Cuomo announced this week that bars and restaurants are required to move to take-out only service. Some food court tenants have also elected to remain open for take-out but there will be no seating available in the food court areas.
