A blustery week ahead

weather.gov

Wintry conditions will be back in force this week across much of the upstate NY area. Temperatures will be in the 30s on Monday and Tuesday, but the daytime highs will fall to as low as 18 on Thursday.

In terms of snow, News 8 Meteorologist Josh Nichols says the Rochester metro will see just a stray flurry on Monday, but on Tuesday, periods of snow could accumulate 2 to 4 inches.

There is a Winter Weather Advisory for much of the region south of Rochester starting late Monday night and continuing through Tuesday, with some areas seeing 3 to 5 inches of accumulation. That includes Livingston, Ontario, Wyoming, Allegany, Steuben and Seneca counties.

Throughout the area, there is a chance of flurries and squalls on Wednesday.
