For the third straight day, the Monroe County Department of Public Health reported no new deaths related to COVID-19.
But while total fatalities remain at 273, another 28 new cases were recorded on Sunday. And in line with the recent trend, it is young people who are increasingly being infected.
The age breakdown is one female age 10 or younger; two females and four males ages 10 to 20; four males and seven males ages 20 to 30; three males ages 30 to 40; one female and two males ages 40 to 50; one male age 50 to 60; one female and one male age 60 to 70; and one male age 80 to 90.
Monroe County’s 3,772 confirmed cases to date include 74 people still hospitalized, with eight in the Intensive Care Unit on a ventilator.
On Sunday morning, New York state reported eight deaths over the previous 24-hour period, bringing the state’s COVID-19 total to 24,904.
