Boil water advisory has been lifted for Clarkson and Sweden

mcwa.com

A boil water advisory for parts of the towns of Clarkson and Sweden was lifted late Sunday morning.

Due to a water main break, some residents in those communities, including the Village of Brockport had been told to boil their water before drinking it or preparing food.

The Monroe County Water Authority says the water system lost pressure due to a water main break early Friday morning on North Lake Road in the town of Clarkson.

But on Sunday morning, the Water Authority said that all laboratory test results collected during the Boil Water Advisory verify that the water quality meets federal and state drinking water quality standards.

And officials said it is no longer necessary to boil your water before drinking it.

You can get more information at the Monroe County Water Authority website.
