American Airlines is expanding nonstop seasonal service between Frederick Douglass – Greater Rochester International airport and the Miami International Airport.
Monroe County Executive Adam Bello says that additional nonstop flights will be available from June 5 through Aug. 14. The nonstop service will operate Saturdays only, on Embraer 175 aircraft, which seats 76 people.
American Airlines added nonstop service to Miami from Rochester last year, and the service will also return for its second winter season from Nov. 13, 2021 to April 2, 2022.
Bello says that strong passenger support of the nonstop flights demonstrates that the local community can support additional nonstop services in the future.
