Rochester Police say a young teen was shot and killed on Genesee Street on Saturday afternoon and another was injured in the shooting.
It happened at about 1:20pm, and when police responded they found a male in his early teens, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at Strong Memorial Hospital about an hour later. His name has not been released yet.
Police say shortly after the initial call about gunfire, a 14-year-old male arrived at Strong in a private vehicle. He suffered at least one gunshot wound and his injuries are described as non-life threatening.
Police say that the victims were walking together down the sidewalk on Genesee Street near Earl Street when a suspect or suspects fired multiple gunshots at them.
