A creative space where everyone is welcome. That’s how painter Richmond Futch Junior describes a local group offering something he says wasn’t available to him as a young artist - mentorship. The group he’s talking about is the New York Figure Study Guild and its housed in Rochester’s Neighborhood of the Arts. Guild co-founders Steve Carpenter and Rick Muto join this Need to Know segment to discuss the group’s philosophy, outreach and upcoming exhibition.
