A Rochester man was acquitted Wednesday of charges related to the 2015 triple homicide on Genesee Street near the Boys and Girls Club.
Jalen Everett was found not guilty on all six counts in connection with that incident. Deliberations began late morning and after about three hours, the verdict was reached.
This was the second trial for Everett. He was convicted of second degree murder last November, but that conviction was set aside by the judge after allegations of juror misconduct.
Everett is the second man to be convicted in connection with that shooting. Johnny Blackshell has already been sentenced to life in prison on his murder conviction. A third defendant, Michael Mathis, is expected to be tried in June.
