An accident in Chili between a car and a bus from the Arc of Monroe killed the driver of the car and caused minor injuries to people on the bus.
It happened Thursday afternoon when, according to Monroe County Deputies, the male driver of a car apparently crossed the center line on Scottsville Road and struck the bus head-on. The bus overturned onto its side.
The driver of the car was killed, his male passenger suffered a head injury.
Deputies say the bus driver and five passengers were taken to Strong Hospital with minor injuries.
Officials at Strong said that that there were seven patients, between 27 and 57 years old. As of Thursday night three had been released from the hospital, four were under evaluation, and none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
Deputies are still investigating.
