Rochester on Pace for Record Lack of Snow

This month may go down in Rochester history as the least snowy December since 1939. Only 2.7 inches fell by this time that year and we are below that number now with only a little over a week left in the month.

Aaron Reynolds is a meteorologist at the Buffalo branch of the National Weather Service. He says only 2.1 inches of snow has fallen in Rochester so far this month. Reynolds says a cold front could move through the area next week, but also says don't hold your breath for any significant accumulation.

He says continued warm temperatures are to blame. The city is averaging 4 degrees warmer than normal over the past few weeks.
