Rochester officials have scheduled five town-hall style meetings over the next several weeks to get community input on the new body cameras for Rochester Police.

Mayor Lovely Warren says the cameras will be a valuable tool in the effort to make the streets safer and help police strengthen the level of trust between officers and the community. She says it's important that the community have an opportunity to help determine the policies and the procedures that will govern the use of the cameras in the field.

Community input sessions will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in each Patrol Section. Dates and location are as follows:

*             Thursday, Nov. 12 - City Hall, City Council Chambers, 30 Church St. (Central Section)
