Rochester City Council & School Board Elect New Leaders

Among the new faces taking office on local boards are leaders for Rochester City Council and School Board.

On Thursday night, City Council elected Loretta Scott to take over as  Council President,  a spot previously held by now-Mayor Lovely Warren.

Dana Miller  was elected as Vice President and Hazel Washington was appointed as the new City Clerk.

On the school board, members there elected Van White to replace Malik Evans who decided he didn’t want be be president again. He is still a member of the school board. And the board also elected Cynthia Elliott to be vice president.
