The man who Rochester's new Mayor, Lovely Warren has described as a motivating force for her getting into politics, has died.
Her grandfather, 87 year old Cecil McClary has been hospitalized since Christmas Eve after suffering a massive stroke, and he died just after 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
Warren tweeted that: "Grandpa said goodbye at around 11. Thank you all for your prayers. The doors of heaven opened and called their angel home."
Warren was sworn-in to office just after midnight on New Year's Day in her grandfather's hospital room, surrounded by dozens of family members.
