Canandaigua has a new City Manager.
David R. Forrest, with 18 years experience in local government, has been selected to succeed the retiring Kay James.
Forrest is currently the Municipal Administrator for Norristown, Pennsylvania.
City Council appointed Forrest to the post after a search committee helped in screening applicants.
Forest will become the eighth City Manager since the City of Canandaigua adopted the Council/Manager form of government in 1968.
He'll start March 8th.
