Local First Responders Headed Downstate to Help

Nearly 45 Monroe County fire fighters are assisting in the ongoing cleanup and recovery efforts following Hurricane Sandy -  in downstate New York. The first responders will be in Suffolk and Nassau Counties for 3 days. The left yesterday. Lieutenant Hank Graf, of the Henrietta Fire Department, is one. He says he's looking forward to helping out.
Graf says he'll be working around the clock providing relief in Nassau County.
County officials say the deployment of fire fighters is part of a mutual aid agreement where emergency responders share resources to area that are in need. Gates, Brighton, Spencerport, West Webster and Fairport are among nealy a dozen fire departments that sent first responders to Long Island.  
Crews left yesterday and are expected to return on Saturday.
