The latest numbers on COVID-19 in Monroe County show 40 new confirmed cases of the virus over the last day.
The statistics released from the Department of Public Health on Thursday show that the ages of those testing positive range from young people between 10 and 19 years old, to individuals in their 70s.
There was 1 new death since Wednesday, bringing the total to 273 since the numbers have been tallied.
73 are hospitalized, with 8 of the 73 patients in the ICU on a ventilator. Those numbers have remained relatively low in recent days.
