Connections: How do science fiction writers consider the possibilities of the future?

How do science fiction writers consider the possibilities of the future? How do they present possible problems -- technologically, ethically, etc. – in ways that are entertaining, plausible, and ripping? How much fiction is meant as a signal or warning, and how much is just fun?

Our guests weigh in on these questions and more. Our guests:

  • Wayne Brown, president of the Rochester Fantasy Fans and chairman of Astronomicon
  • Allen M. Steele, science fiction writer and genre historian
  • Robert J. Sawyer, science fiction writer
  • Ted Wenskus, president of the Rochester Speculative Literature Association
